Last weekend, as any other weekend you would say, I went to Italy. As usual I had my camera with me but this time I actually didn't take so many pictures.... why? well, the main activity of the weekend was on Sunday morning, and it involved some physical activity: I run my first half-marathon!
In general I'm a kind of sporty person, so when the occasion came up I was more than enthusiastic about challenging myself with a 21km long run! On the other hand I really never run for more than a hour and a half straight, and that really happened very few times....
Anyway, Sunday morning everything was ready, my already-worn-out running shoes

and my tennis shorts, because I really don't see the difference in between any shorts......
The race itself was quite nice and enjoyable. It wasn't a real competitive run, it was more a just for fun event organized by the Hellenic semester for the Greek presidency of the EU.
The path was also very difficult: apart of the 21km long, it was a combination of trails in the woods, asphalt streets, dirt roads and a lot of stairs! Yes, stairs! those kind of stairs you wouldn't like to do anyway at anytime in your life, and especially not after more than 12km run and a quite steep hill....
Unfortunately the race started a bit late, so I ended up running until 1 o'clock, under a very hot sun... but in the end I made it!
Sadly the GPS on my mobile didn't track a single meter of the run, but the Nike FuelBand recorded each single step. Here the fuel consumption!
So not so many pictures from this last trip, but some muscle pain and a personal achievement!
