Hi folks,
I was traveling around north of Italy lately, and I've to say the more time I spend away from that place the more I "discover" when I pass by. Honestly, there's not so much around there I haven't seen at least once in my life, but somehow I find myself looking at the same stuff in a different way each time I get there.
For example I happened to spend few hours in Caldé, just looking at some graffiti in an abandoned smelting factory on the lake. As I said, been there, done that, probably even tens of times, but maybe the light, maybe the absence of summer tourists around, maybe my eager to take some shots more than usual, gave me the occasion to look at those very interesting graffiti in a different way.
I think that this is like the "most famous" and most soothed graffiti in Caldé, I did take myself tens of pictures of this wall with several cameras, from phone cameras to point-and-shoot to my nice new DSLR. Sadly it didn't turn out as sharp as I wanted it, but still it gives the feeling.
Somethimes it's just a matter of prospectives, and in this case it plays it all
What I really like about the graffiti in Caldé are probably the colors
but also the B&W are just amazing!
Finally, the very amazing thing is that if you just turn your back to the graffiti, this is what you see
What do you think? not bad eh?
Do you have any graffiti spot you'd suggest to go and shoot? I've still a couple I got heard about in the area, but for a reason or another I didn't manage to pass by during the last trip, I guess they'll have to wait for the next one!
