Stockholm by night

Checking on the calendar, more than a month has passed since I was in Stockholm, but with all my good intentions I really didn't manage to post those pictures until now...
I was there for a long weekend and, due to planes schedules, I happened to spend the first evening/night on my own walking around in central Stockholm trying to figure out were I was.
I started out at S:t Johannes Kyrka, where I really liked the contrast of the lighted-up roofs against the sky and the church building.
It was still a Thursday evening, and the thermometer was indicating very few degrees above zero.... those element, combined with a very freezing and strong wind didn't call too many locals out in the streets
Walking a bit further, I started reaching some water - and yes, that's not so difficult in Stockholm....
Always around in the same neighbourhood - more or less - I spotted a nice frame from a bridge over a main road. I was sure that working with a long exposure I could have got a nice lights trail effect, but the very limited traffic on Thursday night didn't properly helped out.
How can they complain about traffic in Stockholm when in order to get just these few trails I had to combine a couple of shots?
I think it also works out pretty well in B&W
Since a long time I was planning a night landscape shot of Stockholm... Maybe the sky was simply too cloudy and absorbed all the lights from the city, but I still think that I haven't got that shot yet! Good reason to plan another trip back to Sweden's capital city!
