Quite sometime has passed since I posted the lat entry here on the blog. the motivation is pretty simply: when I was still on my way back from the last trip to Italy I started feeling a bit bad, and the whole thing turned out in a quite bad week... So as you can imagine I didn't really feel like stepping out and take pictures, nor to post self-pity comments.
But here I am, fully recovered and with quite some stuff to pick-up with!
First things first: you might be already familiar with EMMET's journey page, but if you are not you might want to check out the latest evolutions in his life!
Lately I haven't taken as many pictures as I used to do during my trips, but personally I think I've started being a bit more selective for my shots. Reality is also that I really got to like my Sigma 105mm 2.8G macro lens, so I ended up snapping more details pictures than ever.
Here for example a couple of shots of extremely simple and basic subjects that captured my attention.
When I was walking around on the lake side I happened to see something I've experienced several times in my life some years ago: there was a regatta organized for Sunday, and as it always (and i really mean always) occurred for any regatta on the Maggiore Lake, there was simply no wind at all! So what usually happens is that all the skippers just stay on shore waiting for the wind.
What I also like about the Sigma 105mm is that apart of being a wonderful macro lens, it also acts pretty well as a portrait lens, and this swan can definitely confirm it!
And why not, also for landscape images!
It might sound strange but now, for few days, I won't be traveling around, so I think I will focus on some on-site projects.
Keep following the blog for updates!
