Yes, in case you were wondering if my silence was due to an "out of office" status, yes, you were right! I was definitely out of office but mainly out of town.
I was actually in London for a long weekend, and got back yesterday evening.
As you can imagine I had my camera with me, and I obviously took pictures along the trip: not so many as I could have imagined before taking-off, but still something like 300 to review, fix and finally publish. I doubt they'll be on-line today, but by tomorrow evening I should be able to make my selection an post them here.
It was also a good test for my new backpack: even though London has e very well working subway - Tube - network, we preferred to use the typical double-decked buses and walk. Walk a lot! My Nike+ Fuel-band recorded more than 4k fuel each single day! And due to this, here the first feedback: the AmazonBasic backpack I recently bought is definitely very spacious and well built! It's anonymous, simple and plenty of space and compartments. But that comes at a price: I ended up packing not only camera gear in it but all the necessary: two retractable umbrellas, maps, gloves, magazines, scarfs, tissues... in the end it was pretty heavy! And after 4 full days of walking my shoulders and back started to be in pain.
Only in the middle of the trip - yes, I'm very quick - I realized that I didn't distribute the weight properly... after that I fixed it, and the situation improved a bit. One thing is for sure: if I had my usual bag I would have probably ended up in much worst pain!
Anyway, not it's time to go trough my shots and find the keeps to be posted. On the other hand it's time to get ready for Stockholm!

The 1-shot-a-day for a week project is still on-going: I'm taking my daily picture as set by the rules, I just haven't had time to post them while on the road.
